The-Dream // Fast Car (Exeter Delorean Edit)

This edit of The-Dream’s pop r&b jam Fast Car exploded in my soundcloud dropbox this morning thanks to Toronto native Exeter. The track uses some harsh and choppy sampling, but it still somehow keeps a smooth flow for maximum head nod. The most satisfying parts of the edit come when it suddenly drops into plain synth chords and the samples slowly build up again. Exeter’s production style reminds me of certain sounds produced by Purity Ring. [photo]
