Sideboard buffet table, drill two holes evenly spaced through the center of four 3/4-by-5-inch oak blocks. Blocks with a 3/16-inch drill bit and drill / driver. Apply the stain matching blocks. Placing the blocks on the inside of the four legs of the buffet table, facing each other from front to back. One end of the block should be level on the floor, the back of the block lie against the inside of the leg. Procedure 1 1/2-inch screws into the holes and screw the blocks to the legs.

Measure the distance between the legs on the side of the sideboard buffet table. Measure the distance from the outside of the leg on the left side looking at the front, to the outside of the leg to the right. Use measurement to cut a piece of 3/4-inch hardwood plywood to the measurements on a table saw. Test fit the plywood shelf by putting it between the legs from the side.
