Bob from the quickly rising Ice Cream Shout just shared this track and video from his side project titled Cloudy Busey. In writing songs he comes across a few that don’t sit in correctly with the Ice Cream Shout theme so he saves them safely under this moniker. I think more artists should do this to allow for a more specific ambiance to their music.
Pound Your Town To Hell is meant to be equal parts a musical and visual experience which Bob had fantasized of being a film starring the lost boys and directed by a personal favourite of mine, Wes Anderson. Lacking the resources he put together this mesmerizing, ethereal video for the track, which moulds surprisingly well with the music.
Wes Anderson, if you stumble upon this blog and are thinking of suing me, at least make this film for Bob. Thank you.
